Right-click and save the image and use it in your Facebook profile

We’ve been getting a lot of requests for the Facebook profile image, so here it is. If you’re all thumbs (like us) at web tech, just follow the instructions to download and use it.

Firefox: Right-click and ‘Save image as’ to your computer

Internet Explorer: Right-click and ‘Save Picture As’ to your computer

Chrome: Right-click and ‘Save image as’ to your computer

Using the profile image on Facebook: Click on the edit icon of your current Facebook image (the ‘pencil’ icon). From the ‘Edit your Profile Picture’ menu, select ‘Upload a Picture” as shown in the screenshot below and follow the rest of the instructions.

Fête de la Musique 2009 – Friday, June 19

Fête de la Musique, celebrated every year by Alliance Francaise, is a great get-together for Bangalore musicians. We got some of our best opportunities here, especially in the late 1990s, when we were a band with more teething troubles than teeth.

This year, the festivities are spread over the weekend, and we have a fantastic slot on an evening otherwise reserved for classical music. This is the second episode of our Jazz Yuppies Double Bill, after that fantastic evening at B Flat. And, yes, we will be joined by Nate Linkon and his slinky sax.

Friday, June 19. 9 pm onwards.

Shut Up and Vote – our new music video

Shut Up and Vote is an anthem we composed and performed for the Jaago Re! One Billion Votes campaign, a joint initiative of Janaagraha and Tata Tea.

The campaign vests the onus of change on educated urban young voters. The music video, shot by filmmaker Rani Jeyaraj for Jaago Re!, sounds a wake-up call for India’s one billion people to unite and bring about change in the quality of governance, which can become a reality only with the active participation of the youth. Through voting and electing quality leaders, the youth can strengthen the roots of Indian democracy.

So put that index finger to good use – shut up and vote!
